If a lawsuit came out in Oracle's favour it could do much more than just wipe out Android; it could destroy much of the US computer and consumer market. Fortunately, the US patents do not extend outside US jurisdiction. I think any wise judge, when passing judgment on such a case, would rule, "In the Public Good" and that would end much of this nonsense forever.
