[dba-Tech] Ruby on Rails installation

I installed Ruby 193 this morning, and then (following instructions in a
book on Ruby on Rails) issued the following command:

gem install rails -r -y

and then received the error message:

ERROR: while executing gem... Zlib::DataError
incorrect header check.

I tried some other commands such as:

gem help commands
gem help examples

These work.

I have no idea what's wrong or how to fix it.

Any ideas?
