I can't figure out what's different about it or why I should use it. Any
reasons?

Jim,
I've been using it for a few weeks. I think its god for the average user but
not so much for techies :-)

Hi All:

There are a few search engines out there already, like Google, Bing and even
Wolfram alpha.

Here is a relatively new startup that has a new search engine called
DuckDuckGo. The search engine is still monetized but unlike competitors it
makes a strong emphasize of personal privacy... "...DDG is positioning
themselves as the do not track alternative, keepers of the privacy flame. "
