I'm not sure I'd buy that. Web statistics seem to favour Chrome as the clear winner in general. It cannot be argued that this is because of android, because safari is still the clear lead by leaps and bounds. Source:

That must mean that Chrome must be the clear lead on the desktop and I would have a hard time believing that they are all just geeks.

Regarding Eric Schmidt - I agree, I dislike him as well. He's Google's Steve Ballmer, but he's no longer CEO of Google. Sergey Brin took that role back in 2011 - probably for the same reason why Steve Ballmer ought to be fired from Microsoft (being a bad CEO, making poor decisions and damaging your brand, etc).
