I agree, that it is just a round about method for the management to do what they have already planned to do anyway...it is just a method to encourage employees to be more accepting of that chance.

At the end of the day employees will use whatever the employer puts in front of them. The key here is working with the employees to manage the change. They have a reduced budget and this is one of the easier options. I am sure they could have cut a lot of stuff before pay cuts. Makes it easier to push through when you equate it to pay cuts (<:

Hi All:

It seems in some municipalities, they are forcing their employees to not use Microsoft Office, by saying either use an open source equivalent or take a pay cut. In other words, employees may have start paying for their own software.
