[dba-Tech] Do you know what Intel tablet hardware and software they use?

Hi Shamil

Yes, we (well, mostly Rita, my wife) have a Surface 2 Pro. With 256 GB disk, micro-SD Card slot, and standard USB 3.0 you don't need much more to start but can add as demand shows up. The only add-on is an Xtrfy Leather Case and the a Microsoft wedge mouse (Bluetooth).

It's a lovely machine with clever details and a superb feeling of quality. We use it mostly as a tablet so we manage with the on-screen keyboard; for serious typing we have lots of other machines. Also, with the high screen resolution, working with the desktop is mostly a joke as everything is so small. It is doable, and a pen is included, but the small tablet screen proves why Microsoft had to create the Metro/Modern touch interface.

The only feature I miss is built-in 3G/4G mobile data access as in smartphones. However, I have a USB device for my old laptop we can use, so we manage.

 Hi Gustav --

Yes, Fresh Paint looks not bad.
But as John noted on videos Manga Studio ( http://manga.smithmicro.com/manga-studio.html ) is used.
I didn't know about Manga Studio and I'm quite impressed with it.
I'm not going to start comics/manga authoring but I suppose Manga Studio could be used (here) for web sites and/or UI/UX drafting/sketching.

Do you own MS Surface Pro 2?
If yes, do you like it?

>Also, AFAIS when they draw on the screen by an electronic pencil then the screen gets a bit "sagged", and I thought that Surface 2 Pro screen has strong glass not plastic surface, which can be sagged. Is that a special transparent plastic they use on top of Surface 2 Pro screen glass?
