Although I posted it on a separate thread, I'm so enamoured with Classic
Shell that I deem it worth another mention here. It leaves everything
Windows8-style alone, while also bringing back everything wonderful and
familiar about the Start button. It's also freely downloadable from www.
*classicshell*.net/.

This single install will transform your comfort level with the Windows 8
environment.
