[dba-Tech] No Headphone Output

Hi Bryan:

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the fourth ring (channel), on a Smartphone, earphone jack, used as an radio aerial...not something you would expect as a requirement on a laptop?

If you have a smart phone, you may just have a set with 4-rings.

But the 4th ring is usually for the microphone, and the jacks are
designed to "ignore" the mic connection if it just a pair of
headphones with no mic.
