Hi Jim

Windows 8 can burn a DVD but it need it the other way round: copy a movie DVD to disk in a way that allows playback from disk.

Hi Gustav:

You have got me there...wouldn't Windows 8.x have just such an application built in?

There is the product called imgburn, an oldie but goodie: http://www.imgburn.com

Quote:
"ImgBurn supports all the Microsoft Windows OS's - Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT4, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 2008, Windows 7 and Windows 8 (including all the 64-bit versions). If you use Wine, it should also run on Linux and other x86-based Unixes"

Hi all

Can anyone recommend a good DVD ripper for Windows 8 to store rip and store protected DVD movies as high-quality video files optimised for Windows?

It doesn't have to be free.
