[dba-Tech] Is Telegram a replacement for all communications packages?

I have not yet installed the Telegram communications package but have heard of great things from those that have. 

It is supposed to be blazingly fast, fairly secure (?), partially OSS and proprietary and uses the latest and best communications protocols. What has been said about Telegram:
