I assume that turning off the power on the printer and then turning it back
on again does not solve the problem?

Disable/Enable the printer through Devices on the Control Panel?

Hi colleagues,

My wirelessly connected HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer occasionally goes
offline, which I discover when a print request fails, of course. Getting it
back online generally requires me to shut down everything and reboot. 
I would very much like to know why this happens, and I especially would like
to know how to get the printer back online without having to shut down
everything.

Any ideas?
