[dba-Tech] VPN

That is what I have found out. Have you been noticing that all 32bit systems are basically on life-support?

Of course that is the trouble with the computer industry...tech become obsolete ten times faster than in the real world. ;-)

Unfortunately Firefox has been deprecating which Oss it supports faster than it used to. My MacBook is no longer supported because I didn't upgrade it to Sierra. Google deprecates OS support for Chrome even faster.

As for a 2018 apparsal of our browsers:

(Check out the article's second page which gives browser stats.)

Also a couple of interesting links on protecting privacy:

"Of all browsers, Firefox arguably has the longest history of keeping security at the front of its mind, both technically and philosophically."

The following may dove-tail along with a VPN. "Cloudflare has introduced a new service called 1.1.1.1 that claims to be a faster, safer way to use the internet."

#1 malware detected this year for our 100s of RMS client devices was chrome extensions.

Spot on with the lack of cross platform syncing but its expanding. I've been wondering if there is a cross browser sync that works with Firefox, chrome, and edge but haven't looked into it yet.

Some reasons Edge isn't my default browser ... Polluted with adverts.
Doesn't run on Linux or Android (where I do half or more of my web browsing and where battery efficiency could be an issue) so a user can't sync browser bookmarks &c with such devices. Extremely limited share functionality compared eg to Chrome. Some of Chrome's right-click functionality is missing. Cortana is a pain in the ass, it's also polluted with adverts. Edge is vulnerable to security exploits.
