This article shows how (though in an unsupported way): http://www.codeproject.com/KB/silverlight/LSHTMLAPP.aspx It also tells some more about the ins-and-outs of LightSwitch: The key to making this work is that LightSwitch is built on top of standard Microsoft technologies such as RIA Domain Services. In Access this is easy: Select * From myTable where not IsDate(DateShipped) But the ASP.Net query designer says that IsDate is not a valid function. I can actually work around this by testing for null, but I'm still curious about the IsDate function. Visual Studio help shows IsDate as a valid T-SQL function. Subject: RE: [dba-VB] Clickable rolling banner for ASP.NET internet-shop Hi Eric -- Thank you for your comment and your site sample. Yes, that looks like a good option if I will not find how to make Adobe Flash based Banner Rotator with an XML meta description: I have to put that Banner Rotator into an HTML text, which is in fact used in the middle of this page http://tennis1.ru - IOW I prefer to not change the ASP.NET sources of my customer site to add rotating banners - just edit HTML, which is stored in the database and which gets "injected" dynamically into ASP.NET control's content in the middle of the page... Subject: Re: [dba-VB] Clickable rolling banner for ASP.NET internet-shop Shamil, ASP has an AdRotator control that reads an XML file. You can reference the images in the JPG file and control the rotation sequence, frequency, etc... I used it on my photography page at http://www.lakecityphotography.com/contactus.aspx When you refresh the page it shows a different image based on what's on the XML file. Subject: [dba-VB] Clickable rolling banner for ASP.NET internet-shop Hi All -- I have got released an internet-shop for my local customer - http://tennis1.ru (that's just out-of-the-box standard design - it's planned to be improved later...), and I need a clickable rolling graphic banner with text to show that customer's own products advertisements - I have no experience with implementation of such a feature - what that could be? I guess that should be a Flash animation controlled by an XML meta-description - something like that would be the best fit for me: http://dnn5.dynnamite.co.uk/visionw3c/Aqua/Flash.aspx Any hints, tips and tricks how to impement it? If you copied to the folder they are there but you have to do the add for the project to know where they exist.
