Note: Sprocs run faster than views in SQL Server, that's because the engine
keeps the compiled version in cache and gives better performance.  IIRC, the
views are not indexed, thus you hitting the previous views based of indexed
tables you are taking a performance hits... try posting the query (view) on
the sqlserver list for more analysis :)
