I think it's two sides of the same coin. Programming is done in VBA, and the macro is the 'interface' that 'runs' the code. Just like using the RunCode command in Access.....that is essentially what Word and Excel macros are....just a RunCode command. To me the terms macro is valid and accurate when programming in Word or Excel. To you it's not accurate.
