A specification name is a name you can give to a 'pre-built' or saved specification. When you import a file through the wizard, in the last step or two, there is an Advanced button. That button will let you Save an import/export spec, by name. That is what the macro is asking for. If you leave it blank, it will use default settings. If you give it a name, it will use that spec to import the file. The spec tells it what columns to import, the delimiter, etc. Just a note, when you import objects into a database, one of the options is to import import/export specs....keep that in mind if you have to 'rebuild' the database, those specs need to be imported too. I've looked at the macro dropdown list for this and it was empty. (?) Can anyone tell me what is required? TIA RyanS -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
