Even if you have Office Developer - which of course you would if you were
going to create a run-time?

Please note that this WILL NOT work if the end-user doesn't have Excel. You
CANNOT LEGALLY DISTRIBUTE the Excel Object Model even if you include it in
your Access run-time.

I will try this. You don't happen to know of any examples anywhere, do you?

Thanks,
Paula

Paula,

If they don't have Excel installed, then you can copy the Excel macros into
Access and convert them to a module that you will run instead.

You can do this without Excel being installed on the PC?

Hi Paula,

Short of this "template", is it possible
for you to use Excel from Access like this:

Function XLAMRT( [Args] )
    Dim obj As Excel.Application
    Set obj = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
    With obj
    . WorksheetFunction.IPmt [Args]
    End With
    Set obj = Nothing
End Function

I know that Excel provides an amortization template. However, I am writing a
program in Access that will be converted to run-time and I'm wondering what
is the best way to allow the client to run an amortization. Can an Excel
spreadsheet be included in an Access run-time program?
