Non-key columns support joins, but that isn't the same thing as
relationships.  Relationships are enduring.  Joins can be temporary.

Thanks Stuart, but that's not the question -- did you answer the
question? I just want to know if it's a SQL standard that non-key
columns support relationships and thus, joins. I'm assuming from  your
response that the answer is Yes? :)
