Are you trying to do this in Access or in the stored procedure? In Access, you can loop through the listbox's itemsselected collection and set each item's Selected property to false. If you're just seeing a marquee around the item rather than reverse video showing it is selected, then I can't help. I've never figured out how to get rid of that either.
