I was fortunate enough this year to get two 20" Dell LCD monitors. I made the argument to my boss that if I had to go for the 19" Dell LCD, that I would just rather keep my 21" CRT. The reason was that the 19" LCD has a .295 dot pitch, the 20" LCD has a .255 and my 21" CRT had a .25. I didn't want to go to such a dot pitch that the 19" has. He stated that since I am the one who works at a computer all day, that if anybody in our department deserved such equipment, it was me. Great boss. I have to say, I love my current setup. Another thing to remember is that the output on your video card can make a great difference as well. My video card has one digital and one analog output. The monitor hooked up to the digital output is amazing in comparison to the analog output. I can really notice when looking at text. But, video cards that have two digital outputs are quite spendy right now. Does anyone use such a setup? Can anyone recommend a brand/model for 19" LCD monitors?
