[AccessD] Navigation of multipage report

I love these weird ones.

Have a report with 63 records on it, one record per page, when navigating
the records in Preview, the arrow buttons for navigation work fine. As soon
as you "jump" to a record, either forward or backward 1) the target record
is not displayed, 2) access jumps to an arbitrary record, 3) any further
navigation via the arrows is now limited to an extremely small set of
records.  For example, at the last record you try to jump to record 24,
access says it's displaying record 12 and then you try to navigate via the
arrows and you now only have 16 records.  Even weirder, if you click "last"
the count changes to the correct total of 63, but further navigation again
and you lose the ability to see a bunch of records again.

The usual compact and repair, and decompile have already been tried.  Now
I'm praying to the Access gods as Seth says is necessary every once in a
great while.  In the mean time, I really hope someone else out there knows
something about this so that I can get out of the M$ Zone before I lose my
mind.
