I think the issue was not that he was alive during the 1920's and 1930's but that it was said to have been written in the 19th century, ie 1800's. The post said those tobacco products weren't around until the early 1900's, ie 20th century. Bryan Carbonnell bryan_carbonnell at cbc.ca >>> rmoore at comtechpst.com 12-Feb-03 11:31:17 AM >>> I agree Susan. I've seen logic puzzles in Dell magazines that are ten times harder. He could/would have done MUCH better. According to legend, Einstein created this puzzle in it's current form in the nineteenth century. But I have a problem with that attribution. I don't think the cigarette brand names used are from the nineteenth century. I believe they are from the 1920's-40's. So, either Einstein did NOT write this puzzle, or he was even smarter than we all recognized (as in prognostication - Move Over Nostradamus)! _______________________________________________ AccessD mailing list AccessD at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/accessd Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com
