Keith -
Check your references.
I usually make sure I have 'Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library' checked.
That usually does the trick.

Subject: [AccessD] Declaring Database

Can anyone shed some light on why my Access 97 would be having a problem
with a "Dim dbs as database" declaration?

I was using the Switchboard Manager utility to setup menus on my
application. In the process of this, the utility wizard created code
which included the above declaration. However, the application keeps
giving me an error on that line, saying the variable isn't defined.
Isn't that what the declaration is doing???...defining the variable??
Can't imagine what the problem is. Anyone with any ideas? I've used
the wizard a number of times to setup menus. Never had this problem
before.

Thanks in advance,
