What is this winmail.dat file? According to the site: http://www.eudora.com/techsupport/kb/1552hq.html WINMAIL.DAT is a proprietary Outlook file that allows Outlook users to send Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format (TNEF) information (see Microsoft's technical support article at http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q241/5/38.ASP). This TNEF information is unopenable and irrelevant outside of Outlook. On the KB article mentioned, it says that "A TNEF-encoded message contains a plain text version of the message, and a binary attachment that "packages" various other parts of the original message." So, it sounds like the WINMAIL.DAT attachment is coming BECAUSE you are sending in plain text. Weird. Gary Kjos >From: "John W.
