Hear, hear. Well done Bryan. Andy Lacey http://www.minstersystems.co.uk <http://www.minstersystems.co.uk/> -----Original Message----- From: accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Lembit Soobik Sent: 03 July 2003 20:10 To: Access Developers discussion and problem solving Subject: [AccessD] New List - dba-Tech Friends, Bryan Carbonnell has generously set up a new list for us which had been previously requested by Arthur and William. The new list is dba-Tech The purpose of this list is to provide a forum for discussion of Hardware/Software/Networking issues which do not belong AccessD, but are issues that we all encouter and are interested in. We do not want to ban them to dba-OT, since that list discusses to many non-technical issues. I imagine that many issues will be discussed including, but not limited to: - Excel, Word, ... issues, if NOT related to Access - Windows problems - Firewall, Virus,... - computer related HW - MP3 file header interpretation - how to digitize vinyl records -etc............. Since I don't aniticipate that there will be too much traffic initially, or at least no continuous flow of traffic on this new list, I encourage everybody on this list to subscribe to dba-Tech by pointing your browser to http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/dba-Tech I would also like to take this opportunity to ask that everyone enter his/her name in the subscription of this, and other lists, in that there are times when we need to contact a subscriber, and are unsure of who that person is based solely on their email address. It is much easier for us if we know who it is rather than jsut use the email address provided. We would also like to have one or two moderators for the new list. If you would be willing to serve in that capacity, please let me know. And once more a great thank you to Bryan, who is now working on a training program for list administrators and moderators which should help us to improve the overal performance of our lists.
