>>If merely hovering over a variable declaration<< Wouldn't most people rather read the clearly named and prefixed variables than "hover" though? Or what about printed code? Jim DeMarco -----Original Message----- From: Arthur Fuller [mailto:artful at rogers.com] Sent: Tuesday, July 08, 2003 1:37 PM To: 'Access Developers discussion and problem solving' Subject: RE: [AccessD] On Coding Standards I failed to communicate my intended perspective, Charles. What I intended was, Access doesn't have smart intellisense as has .NET, so that merely creating a variable won't give me its declaration. That's what .NET does so well, and that's what I meant by "prefixes may be obsolete". If merely hovering over a variable declaration will give me "Dim ParentLoop as Integer", then who needs prefixes? Check the archives to see how much bandwidth is wasted on this list due to people having poorly names variables/controls/fields that are either the cause of their problems or have to be clarified before their problems can be answered.
