If you are using Outlook 2000 or 2002, Microsoft has a free download for backing up your .pst file. You can check it out at: http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2002/pfbackup.aspx Also, instead of going thru and deleting emails, use the Archive function in Outlook. Go to Help and search Archive. Proverbs 16:3 -----Original Message----- From: accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of David McAfee Sent: Wednesday, July 16, 2003 3:55 PM To: 'Access Developers discussion and problem solving' Subject: [AccessD] OT: Outlook questions Hi, I was wondering if anyone in this group knows that answer to either of my two Outlook questions: 1. Can your inbox (or any other folder) be sorted by unread (bold) messages? just as you can by date, subject line, or "From"? A co-worker of mine wanted to know how to do this. 2. Can Outlook be compacted? I have a co-worker that literally has thousands of emails in each folder, and he periodically will go through and delete some of these messages. I was just wondering if Outlook would benefit from a "compact" or even if it even has that ability. I cannot seem to find anything in any of its menus though :( Sorry for the OT.
