When we were writing the BEU we found that this was a limitation of code
- couldn't do it. As Charles suggest you can certainly create a new
field, query the data across and delete the old, all in code, but take
care of indexes and relationships.
IIRC though the SQL ALTER TABLE command gained an ALTER COLUMN bit in
Access XP which hadn't been there in A97.

How can I change a data type in code?

I want to change Field1 from Date/Time to Text.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
