I have created apps which retrieve the NT user name and use it for a custom security scheme. I do not have the code though - I'm no longer doing anything involving ASP. I also cannot say for certain the code was in ASP. Our apps went against COM components, it's possible a COM component was retrieving the name. Sorry to be vague, it's been a while. I'd put it in the realm of possibility though. He thinks there is a way to return the Win2K user login name from an ASP page. I'm not 100% certain but I don't know that I've ever seen that done. Does anyone know if it's possible? If it is a code sample would be appreciated.
