Apparently it is for use in Excel. I am programming with the MapPoint ocx on a form and wanted to stop the screen updates until the code had finished running. I see, though, that I am barking up the wrong object model to accomplish what I want. Thanks anyway, the repaint might come in useful, too Michael R.
