Two ways I know of to handle this situation.
1. Make all controls not enabled when you load the form and then have a
mechanism where they are enabled when you need them to be.
2. Add a textbox and make it's forecolor and backcolor transparent
(effectively hiding it). On the form's load event set the focus to this
textbox.

This is driving me nuts.
For various reasons, I need a form to open with the focus set to no
control. The controls must all have a Tab Order, but none can have the
focus when the form opens.
