Export from a query. Access doesn't really care about record order so you get the natural (i.e., entry order) of the records when you export the table, not the indexed order that they appear in when you look at the table in Access. It is very important that the records import in the exact same order that they appear in the file. Is there a way to control this so the table keeps the text file's exact layout? I am using AccessXP.
