Sander Watch out for the downsides of using Global variables (that's another debate that the archives are full of) but yes you can. What you need to do is create a public function which simply returns the value of the variable, and then use the function in the query. -- Andy Lacey http://www.minstersystems.co.uk --------- Original Message -------- From: "Access Developers discussion and problem solving" <accessd at databaseadvisors.com> To: "Acces User Group" <accessd at databaseadvisors.com> Subject: [AccessD] Use global variable in a query? Date: 27/10/03 21:16 Hi group, I need to build a lot of detail forms. Their nothing more then a select * from table. Off course with the exception of 2 where statements. The query needs 2 parameters I use throughout the program. Question: Is it possible to use a global variable in query? I do NOT mean an sql-statement but a query created and saved in the database itself (HTMS) If not...any ideas? I mean I need to build a LOT of detail forms!
