This will happen if the file format you have currently selected is Access 2000 but the project was created and checked into VSS in 2002 format. All you need to do is open a database and change your Access file format to 2002 then pull a new database out of VSS. Once you get the crash, it's a good idea to delete the scc folder for the project so it will be recreated when you pull the database out. Otherwise, you sometimes have problems with whatever caused the crash in the first place. Hi all, Yesterday I was happily working away in my db when AccXP crashed and wanted to send information to MS. After this event happened, it kept happening. Seeing as how everything had already been checked in to SS, I proceeded to build db from SS. I started getting errors on many of the items that I had been working on. XP created a text file for each item that it could not import into Access. Each file has the following text: Error encountered at line 1. This object was created with a newer version of Microsoft Access than you are currently running. I did a repair on my OffXP installation, but no help. I'm thinking that it might be an issue with SS, but I'm not sure. In the .SCC file that SS creates, Explorer shows .ACF files with a type of "Microsoft Agent Character File (HTTP format)". If that helps any. Has anyone ever ran up against this? Or anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
