Depends on the complexity you need. You can directly link Exchange/Outlook folders to an Access db. Thus, it's just a matter of adding a record. However, Appointment items are a subset of the message items. What you will get in the linked tables is the Message item fields, so you won't have everything an appointment has. If you need everything an appointment has, you'll need to use CDO.
