I often find myself going into to table design view to check field names, indexes etc when I am in the VBA editor when building SQL statements or using fields in recordsets. Also when building record sources SQL strings for lookup combo boxes etc. in the form designer. When you work on as many systems in different locations as I do, sometimes going back and modifying/enhancing systems that I originally developed months or years ago, it gets very difficult to remember exact table structures, field names, index structures and all relationships. Currently I have to close the form I am working on (if it is bound, you can't open the table definition while the form is open, even in design mode), switch to the Tables tab, select the table and wait for it to open in design view ( which can take seconds if the BE is on a LAN). Then note the information I am looking for, close the table, reopen the form and go back into the VBA editor. Keeping this app open will let me quickly flick backwards and forwards between the table definition and the code without leaving the line of code I am on. It will be a real time saver for me. -- Lexacorp Ltd http://www.lexacorp.com.pg Information Technology Consultancy, Software Development,System Support.
