[AccessD] security issue with Office XP

Hi Susan

You mean "launch"? Execute right is for executable files (.exe, .com)
which an mdb file is not.

Make sure you are granted at least read right for the mdb file which
you probably have as you can copy the file. Further, you must have
read/write right for the ldb file and create right if any user are
granted delete right for ldb files.

Also, are you able to create a new mdb file on that server?

However, if you can go to a Win2000 machine and log in using your
normal account and launch the mdb file successfully with Access XP,
then this looks like a Windows XP problem which I would pass to your
notwork people.
