I wasn't sure if you needed Samba to hook up a *nix box to a Novell 
Network or not, that's why I threw it out there.

But that's not all Samba is for. You can use it to have full 
Read/Write permissions on remote  NTFS drives under Linux. Linux has 
built in Read capabilities for mounted NTFS drives, but not write. If 
you install Samba, you get the write abilities because you end up 
mounting an SMB drive and not an NTFS one.
