Not necessarily the case. We have a "db server" of sorts which houses all
of our backend dbs. I think, as long as you create the guest account for
IIS (IUSR_{machine name}) on the network, you can access the backend. We do
use a FE/BE solution for in-house workers but ASP/BE for the rest. They are
attached to the same BE, just access it differently.

Thanks for your input. Are you saying that some clients get to the Access BE
via ASP on a web page and your other (LAN) clients get at in the usual way
with a FE/BE situation? My question was directed specifically at Internet
access. That is, if I've got the BE mounted on a web server then,
apparently, the only way to get to the data is through an ADO connection via
ASP pages.
