Is there an incompatibility between A2K and AXP on record deletes?

I developed my app in A2K and the following line of code:

    DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdDeleteRecord

 works at the client's site on A2K machines, but blows on AXP machines with
an error "3709: The search key was not found in any record"
