Hi Pedro,

In your query, you want to Group By on the first field and then Sum the 
second field.

i need to make an presentation of some figures for later this afternoon. I 
had a query that made a sum of numbers as a total, but i can't find it 
right now. Can You give me a hand?

biopt         7
biopt         2
ascites       4
ascites       6


i need

diag         Total
biopt         14
ascites       10
