Pedro, only a few records added, but were lots of existing records *changed*? We found huge bloat even when adding just a few records but doing maintenance on many. I read somewhere (but can't remember where) that changing data in fields on a record causes MSAccess to 'rewrite' to a different physical location and delete the origianl record. This would make a 'change' equivalent to a 'delete' and 'add new'. Anyone else comment?
