As long as you're not using multiple instances of your continuous form you can set the rowsource of the combo with a where clause referencing the Forms.FormName.FilterControlName. The reason it doesn't work with multiple instances is you need the absolute form reference. There are workarounds to the mulit instance issue but they are not convenient.
