Barbara, I'm pretty sure that the DoCmd.SendObject command can only be used to send objects that are a part of the Access database, when the command is used within an Access database. To send a different file, you'll need to use something else - like SMTP email. An example of this is vbSendMail.dll, available from FreeVBCode.com. The help file for SendObject is pretty good.
