For San Diego the best deal is the North County Learning
Center.  They have
ASP.NET and VB.NET classes at the wonderful price of $0.  I
don't know when
the classes will be updated to VS 2 but the principals as
the same.  A class
or two and a couple of books should get you well on the way.
