Joe, You're probably thinking of Conditional Formatting. It works for textboxes and comboboxes. Right-click a control and select Conditional Formatting. One of the selections is 'Field Has Focus'. Select that and then select the background color you want. In A 2k3 is there such a form or am I hand coding this in?
