The trick of getting the both networks to see each other, is to have a DNS and/or WINS server that both side are registered on and can see. I have reviewed a number of possibilities but am not sure what the correct solution would be. It is probably a fairly simple solution to individuals more skilled in networking. Given: A Windows 2000 advanced server with one network card connecting to the rest of the network and one network card directly connected to another computer off which a printer is attached. The Windows 2000 computer can see the whole network as well as all the shares on the attached computer. Question: How to share the resources of the attached computer with the rest of the network?? (Ran out of plugs on the router or would not be attempting this 'Mickey Mouse' arrangement.) Any help, suggesting or directions to examples to follow would be great appreciated. (My last network certification ended with Novell 4.x.)
