Macs have a native version of Office, but it doesn't include Access, which is strictly PC-based. They can run Access on a PowerPC, but I don't know if that requires using an emulator. I have seen Access running on a PowerPC notebook, but I quickly ran in the other direction and didn't ask for the ugly details. A fifth of their computers are Macs, the remainder PCs. Based on what I have assumed for YEARS, I noted that it won't fly with the Mac users, unless you buy some third party emulator, and even then I've heard about flaky behavior. Yet they assured me that Macs can run all MS Office applications. No emulator. Am I in the dark here? Do Macs have a native MS Office version? If so, does it include Access? And if so, can they work seamlessly with an Access file generated from a PC, or is there some format conversion that is required to create a Mac-enabled file?
