Hi Arthur Drew had some code (In Access 97 I think) in his minicalendar that allowed for animated graphics. Not sure if it was for an AVI or an animated GIF If you have A97 download the minicalendar and have a look But it can be also done with timers I have also seen in some of Candace's demos the "Gears turning inside the head" animation It was a handful of stills made visible or not-visible using the timer. Looked cool But to get it to go fast caused screen flicker - and the screen flicker varied from Not visible at all on some pewtas To a real PITA in others But as for inserting a native animated GIF and getting it to do what you know an animated GIF can do Is traditionally very tricky in Access and does require some sort of smoke and mirrors See ya DD -----Original Message----- From: accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Arthur Fuller Sent: Saturday, June 18, 2005 12:47 PM To: 'Access Developers discussion and problem solving' Subject: RE: [AccessD] Question about Animated Graphics Bummer.... I think that there are some 3rd-party controls that will let you host an animated Gif. For a peek at the graphics, see http://www.animation-central.com/gears.htm. The graphics there move. When I download one graphic and drop it on an Access form, it's static not animated. I want the animation! How do I achieve this?
