[AccessD] Unrecognized Database Format Error

I have a number of databases created in Access 2002. When I try to open
some of them I get a message of unrecognized database format. If I try
to import the tables etc into a new database I get the same message.
When I try to run JetComp with either 3.x format or 4.x format I get a
message of cannot compact this version of database. Is there some way to
save these databases?
